My commitment
Turinske & Associates, LLC is committed to making turinske.com usable by as many people as possible. As a visually impaired business owner and screen reader user, accessibility is not an add-on for me. It is how I work, and it is one of the services I offer.
Standard
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These are the internationally recognized guidelines for accessible web content.
What I have done
- Built accessible from the start. Plain HTML with proper headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels, with no accessibility overlay or plug-in.
- Tested with a screen reader. Pages are checked with the NVDA screen reader and with a keyboard alone.
- Readable text. Large body text, a plain sans-serif font, and color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA.
- Visible focus. A clear outline shows where you are when moving through the page with the keyboard.
- Clear links and forms. Links that open a new tab say so. Required form fields are marked with the word “Required,” not by color alone.
- Respects your settings. The site follows your browser zoom and your device’s reduced-motion setting.
Display settings
Your browser, operating system, and screen reader already give you the most control. You can also use these settings to adjust this site. They are saved in your browser only and apply to every page here.
Content from other services
Some features on this site are provided by other companies. I choose them with accessibility in mind, but I do not control their design:
- Microsoft Bookings for scheduling a consultation.
- Formspree for delivering the request form.
- LinkedIn for my professional profile.
If any of these gives you trouble, contact me directly and I will set up the meeting or take your request by email or phone.
Known limitations
I am not aware of any current barriers on this site. If you find one, please tell me. I review every report and aim to fix problems promptly.
